Telenor Group strives to reduce the environment and climate impact of its operations and provide solutions to customers to reduce their CO2 emissions and energy costs.
Climate
The world needs to rapidly cut global emissions of greenhouse gases in the coming decade to reach the Paris climate agreement goal limiting global warming to well below 2°C, preferably to 1.5°C, and this decade will be critical. Telenor will do its part to support this effort, which means reducing our own emissions while also acting as a facilitator for third parties reducing their emissions.
Reducing global emissions through connectivity
There are two main dimensions to Telenor’s work on climate and environment. The first is to clean up our own operations, by lowering greenhouse gas emissions and improving environmental performance. The second is to help other parties reduce their emissions, by way of Telenor’s services.
