Impressive achievments

"We congratulate Liv Ullmann with the Telenor Culture Prize 2009. During more than 50 years, Ullmann has impressed us with her contributions in front of as well as behind the cameras. Telenor's Culture Prize is awarded individuals, groups and institutions that have contributed substantially to the national or international cultural life. As a communications provider based in Norway but with an increasing international presence, Telenor utilises Norwegian and international culture as a bridge builder. Therefore, we are very pleased that this year's prize winner has a clear international profile", said Telenor Group President and CEO, Jon Fredrik Baksaas.

The jury said: "She has worked with the greatest directors. On their side, they got to work with a unique actress.
