Tom Vidar Rygh retires from posistion as Chairman of Telenor ASA

Tom Vidar Rygh has accepted the position as CEO of Enskilda Securities AB, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. Rygh has informed that he will leave his position as Chairman of the Board in Telenor ASA with immediate effect. Until a new chairman is appointed, Ms. Åshild Bendiktsen will be acting chairman. Rygh has held the position since June 2001.
