Three Telenor leaders recognised among Norway’s 50 leading women in tech

On this International Women's Day, the NHO association Abelia and the women's network ODA, announced Norway’s 50 foremost women in technology at an event headlined by Norwegian Prime Minister, Erna Solberg. Among the 50 recognised women in technology were three Telenor leaders: Telenor Norway’s Ingeborg Øfsthus, Chief Technology Officer; Camilla Amundsen, Head of Fixed and TV and Astrid Undheim, Telenor Research VP in Analytics and Artificial Intelligence.
In order to solve today's major challenges and strengthen Norwegian business, the country needs problem solvers of both sexes, Abelia and ODA said in the statement on this International Women’s Day. The proportion of women working with management and technology is drastically lower in the private sector than it is in the public sector.
As an initiative to inspire more women to choose to become leaders in technology in the business sector, this list of Norway’s top 50 female leaders in technology was created. Honoured among them this year, were Telenor’s Camilla Amundsen, Ingeborg Øfsthus and Astrid Undheim. A select jury chose the honourees based on nominations from the population.

Camilla Amundsen began her career in management consulting, and before starting as Chief Marketing Officer of Fixed/TV at Telenor Norway, held roles as CEO of Talkmore and of Lyse IT. Amundsen’s experience and expertise provide deep strategic and operational insight into helping companies grow, profit and develop new and innovative ways of working.
Formerly CEO of Telenor’s operations in Serbia, Ingeborg Øfsthus is now Chief Technology Officer of Telenor Norway, focusing on technology and its role in the digitalisation of Norway. Boasting a broad and international career, she has held high-level management positions across Telenor companies in Germany, Thailand and Norway.
Astrid Undheim began her career as a Ph.D. student at Trondheim, Norway’s NTNU, where she studied telematics. Within three years of starting at Telenor, Undheim was appointed head of the research department in Trondheim, looking deeply into disruptive changes of new technology and how it would affect the telecommunications industry. Since 2016, she has been heading a team of 12 researchers working on Analytics and AI, where the focus is on implementing AI models in Telenors business areas, such as customer care, network operations and marketing.
