The Telenor centre at Kokstad in Bergen: Picks up international real estate award

Fending off keen competition from projects from all over the world, Telenor's office building at Kokstad, Bergen ran off with the top honours in the prestigious international real estate award Prix d'Excellence. The award is presented by the international organisation FIABCI. This is the tenth award bestowed on the Telenor Centre at Kokstad.

Telenor's Kokstad building in Bergen emerged as the victor in the category offices/industry, and has been awarded the prestigious Prix d'Excellence.

In its grounds for the decision the jury stated; "The architecture reflects both urban and traditional styles, although the building's use of high technology installations and advanced electronic control systems brings it firmly into the 21st century. With an energy consumption rate of less than 100kWh/m2 per year, the Telenor Centre is the most energy-efficient office building in Norway."

FIABCI is an international organisation for real estate companies. The organisation was founded in 1949 and has members from over 60 countries around the world . This year's session was held in Berlin, and the main event was the award presentation on May 28. The projects that were entered as competitors were evaluated by an expert panel, based on such criteria as design, construction, financial viability, marketing strategy, facilities management, impact on the environment and benefit to the community.

Delighted award winners in Bergen
