Telenor signs Nordic agreement with NorgesGruppen

NorgesGruppen and Telenor have entered into a three-year agreement for telephony services worth NOK 165 million.
NorgesGruppen is continuing its cooperation with Telenor for telephony services and has signed a three-year extension to its existing agreement. NorgesGruppen Tjenesteyting og Supply AS (NG T & S) is NorgesGruppen's resource centre and negotiator for goods and services, while NorgesGruppen and its units are the actual end users. The agreement covers 1900 stores and 620 convenience stores throughout Norway. It is important that NorgesGruppen exploits group-wide framework agreements in order to make savings.

The agreement is for mobile telephony, mobile broadband, fixed telephony and MeetAt (Telenor's tele-conferencing solution). The agreement is worth NOK 55 million per year and will run from 1 July 2009 for three years.

NorgesGruppen's reasons for choosing Telenor include it being a safe supplier and the fact that it has a broad range of stable services. "NorgesGruppen has been a customer for many years which means they can be certain we can recommend solutions that are useful to them," says Abraham Foss, head of business markets at Telenor Norway. "We are very pleased to be able to continue working with them," says Foss.
