Telenor signs new agreement for the provision of telecommunication services to DSS

DSS has, on behalf of 16 ministries and the Office of the Prime Minister, chosen Telenor as the provider of fixed and mobile traffic. In total, the contract is worth approximately NOK 11 million annually.
The agreement covers fixed and mobile telephone services, with the option of associated services over a period of two years. The agreement may be extended by a further two years.
The agreement includes an integrated telephony solution for the ministries, with a common switchboard for landline and mobile phone users.
In addition to traffic, the agreement also includes the following options:
- Proffnett Total
- Alternative duplicated lines
- Alternative routing, common 5-digit numbers
- ADSL for home offices
- Mobile broadband
- Meetat conference services
- Preparedness solutions
- Link to the public telephone network with the help of IP telephony
Telecommunication is crucial to the work of the ministries, a situation that demands effective safety and preparedness solutions. "On a whole Telenor delivered the best offer and on this basis was chosen by DSS as the provider of telephony traffic and telecommunications services," says Ivar Gammelmo, Director at DSS.
