Telenor Serbia Foundation Supports Young Scientists

The Petnica Science Centre, one of the leading scientific centres for young people in South East Europe, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Telenor Serbia Foundation.

Investing in intellectual capital

Telenor Serbia Foundation aims to contribute to the development and progress of the Serbian society. We support young and talented people, their education and professional improvement, encouraging them to continue their work in Serbia" said Stein Erik Vellan, Chairman of the Board of Telenor Serbia Foundation and CEO of Telenor in Serbia.

The cooperation program includes:

  • donations of PCs and other equipment
  • support to an annual program of Petnica
  • participation of Telenor experts in lectures
  • round tables and summer camps
  • sponsorship of the annual international conference "Step into Science", where young researchers present their work in various scientific fields

Hope other companies will follow

We see this as an encouragement to our program and hope that this highly professional action of Telenor, will motivate other companies that see their future in the latest technologies, research and development to follow suit," said Vigor Majic, the director of Petnica Science Centre.
