This November Telenor will present the makers of Nordic region's most innovative digital business product or service with the 2011 Digital Winners Prize. The award ceremony will be held during the Digital Winners Conference 2011, on the November 22nd. Nominations open this week.
The award is 200.000 NOK for the winner(s) and business development with Telenor Comoyo with the goal of distribution through Telenor consumer operations. The prize will be presented by Telenor EVP and Head of Digital Services & Nordic Kristin Skogen Lund.

"Innovation is a basic value for a company like Telenor, and development of digital content and services is important for us. We are inspired and motivated by all the exciting things which are happening in the Nordic digital media markets, and Telenor wishes to stimulate further development of Nordic content. That is why this prize is important to us," says Skogen Lund.

Dialogue is key

She also hopes the prize can inspire further innovation within the field of digital media, and contribute to focus on the users of digital services.

"Innovation in 2011 is driven by our relationship with our users," says Skogen Lund. Even very early on in the nomination process she is convinced the winner will be a small business which takes users seriously. "You cannot be a digital winner today without being in constant dialogue with those who actually use the services," she says.

The jury consists of senior representatives from across the Telenor Group and also has two external representatives. The jury members' competence is linked to markets, knowledge of digital consumers and not least research and development, and is headed up by Rolv Erik Spilling, SVP and Deputy Head Telenor Digital Services & Nordic - see www.telenor.com/digitalwinners2011.

"The way the jury is put together says a lot about the enormous resources we in Telenor have access to - be it in-house or among our partners," says Skogen Lund.

Telenor's values are basis for the prize.

The decision for who will take home the award will be based on Telenor's own vision and values. The winner (s) should be able to inspire consumers to take part in our shared digital reality. The 2011 winner should also be able to demonstrate a user friendly service.
