In Denmark the Telenor owned mobile phone company SONOFON has today reached agreement with the shareholders of CBB Mobil A/S to acquire the company. CBB Mobil will continue as an independent company in its own name.

"CBB Mobil is a well-run company and is very popular with its customers. We are looking forward to building on CBB's success and to strengthening the company's development in the Danish market with a simple web-based concept and low prices," said Tage Reinert, CEO SONOFON.

Since its incorporation in 2000, CBB Mobil has been a so-called service provider for SONOFON. This means that CBB's customers have been using SONOFON's mobile network. They will continue to do so and the change in ownership will therefore not affect customers.

CBB Mobil will also otherwise continue unchanged as an independent company with its own name and brand.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

A new Board of Directors will be appointed at CBB Mobil, with Allan Koch, Executive Vice President SONOFON as Chairman.
