Reduced mobile charges for private and business customers

"We have previously stated that Telenor shall have competitive tariffs in the mobile market, and we now confirm this by reducing our charges. We have further reduced the charges for our customers with 'Private' subscription plans, and our 'djuice' customers will now also be offered more favorable terms," said Division Director Berit Kjøll, Head of Telenor's activities in the Norwegian consumer market.

Customers with Telenor Mobil's 'Private' subscription plans will have their call charges to the mobile and fixed networks reduced from NOK 1.99 per minute to NOK 1.59. For customers with 'djuice' subscription plans, call charges to another mobile will be reduced from NOK 1.99 per minute to NOK 1.79, whereas call charges to a fixed network will be reduced from NOK 3.99 to NOK 2.99 per minute. These changes will be effective from 1 September.

Customers with 'Business' and 'Business basis' subscription plans will also see reduced charges. "Telenor Mobil's business subscription plans are the most complete mobile subscription plans in the Norwegian business market. We want to ensure that our business customers are offered a simpler and more efficient workday, by supplying mobility and flexibility for both individual employees and businesses," said Anders Hauglie-Hanssen, Head of Telenor's activities in the Norwegian business market.

For 'Business' customers, call charges from mobile to the fixed networks will be reduced by 14 per cent, and simultaneously the monthly charge will also be reduced. The monthly charge will be reduced from NOK 135 to NOK 129, and the call charges for traffic from mobile to the fixed network will be reduced from NOK 0.69 to NOK 0.59 per minute. The changes in the 'Business' subscription plan took effect on 16 August 2004. 'Business basis' customers will have their monthly charge reduced from NOK 65 to NOK 59, and their call charges per minute will be reduced by NOK 0.10, to NOK 1.29. The changes in the 'Business basis' subscription plan will be effective from 1 September. All charges involving the 'Business' and 'Business basis' subscription plans are exclusive of VAT .
