djuice today announced the launch of a new, web based mobile subscription plan, djuice allstar, with a low monthly fee, low calling rates and cheap text and picture messages. The subscription comes without any mandatory contract periods, and is managed through the djuice website.

" djuice allstar is primarily an offer to young people who want to manage their subscription by themselves on the Internet, and who appreciate simplicity and low rates. Many youths are used to the Internet as a purchasing channel, and we have registered a demand for this kind of subscription plan," said Jon Erik Haug, Head of Mobile, Consumer Market in Telenor.

"By launching a subscription plan which is ordered and managed by the customer, we are now able to offer a complete range of djuice services that are competitive both when it comes to prices and content," Haug comments.

djuice allstar has a monthly fee of only NOK 29, including 50 text messages a month. Additional text messages cost NOK 0,59 each. Calling charges are NOK 0,79 per minute to other mobile phones and NOK 1,29 per minute to fixed phones. djuice allstar customers also benefit from the "Happy Friday" concept, implying picture messaging free of charge on Fridays. Other days, the price is NOK 1,99. Besides, customers can use picture messages and mobile Internet (WAP) free of charge the first month after signing up. djuice allstar is managed via the djuice website (djuice.no), and there are no sign up fees during 2005. Customers are encouraged to receive invoices electronically in order to avoid invoice fees.

Telenor has more than 900.000 djuice customers, who can choose between the following four offers:

  • djuice kontant - pre paid subscription plan
  • djuice magnum - 100 text messages included each month
  • djuice nonstop - free use of text and picture messaging included
