Telenor has signed a new contract with DNB concerning the supply and operation of telephony and mobile services to the bank’s operations in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. The contract is worth NOK 315 million over three years.
The contract covers basic fixed telephony services, mobile telephony services and Intelligent Network services, WAN to DNB’s branch network and central locations, as well as MCS (managed communication services, the operation of Avaya, and Trio Enterprise).

'By choosing Telenor as our supplier of telephony and mobile services, we are expanding our already established cooperation with a solid and long-term player in the telecoms sector,' says Liv Fiksdahl, Group executive vice president IT and Operations at DNB.

'DNB's goal is to offer its customers simple and future oriented banking services. To achieve this goal, we are dependent on having a partner who understands what our customers expect of us and is in a position to deliver this. In addition, it is important to us that our solutions are of high quality, with stability and speed both being critical factors, ' says Fiksdahl.

'We are delighted to be continuing our cooperation with DNB. The contract supports a joint strategy of ensuring it is easy to buy, use, and get support, and we encourage each other to develop great, innovative mobile solutions and services. We look forward to being part of the continued growth of DNB's business,' says Bjørn Ivar Moen, business market manager at Telenor.

The contract includes the possibility of an extension of one plus one year, and allows Telenor to make proposals for new services during the course of the contractual period.
