Less than 11 months after launching mobile communications services in Pakistan, Telenor Pakistan now exceeds 2 million customers. The passing of this milestone coincides with a visit from Pakistan's President, General Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday.

To the editorial offices:

Please note that certain practical changes have been made with respect to the press briefing in connection with President Musharraf's visit:

  • All journalists must arrive at Auditorium A at Telenor Expo no later than 16:15 CET, not 16:30 CET, as previously announced.
  • Camera stands, microphones and other equipment may be installed just before the press briefing starts, not before 14:00 CET as previously announced.
  • Please note that the main entrance to Telenor Expo will be closed, and journalists will be required to use the entrance that leads directly into Auditorium A (down the stairs at the northern end of the Telenor Plaza, at the seafront end).
  • Only journalists accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be admitted by the police.
  • A separate parking lot has been reserved for the press on the west side of the Telenor Centre (on the left just before the entrance to the parking house).
  • All journalists must also make sure they carry clearly visible press IDs during their entire visit to Telenor.
  • All equipment will be subject to police security checks.
