djuice, Telenor's mobile Internet portal, has signed an agreement with Telecom Mobile Ltd. in New Zealand to become the operator's mobile Internet portal. Telecom Mobile Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of the incumbent, Telecom New Zealand. Telecom Mobile Ltd. is the market leader with approx. 1,2 mill. subscribers and a market share of about 60 percent.
New Zealand is djuice's fifth market and the first partnership with an operator without Telenor ownership interests. The contract with Telecom Mobile Ltd. was awarded through an international search for a mobile portal partner. djuice has now signed agreements with operators in Portugal, Malaysia, Thailand, New Zealand and Norway.

djuice services through Telecom Mobile Ltd. will be marketed during the second half of this year. djuice will be co-branded with Telecom Mobile Ltd.'s own brand in the New Zealand market.

Telenor's sponsorship of the Norwegian participating boat in the Volvo Ocean Race will be used in the marketing activities in New Zealand. The boat will be named "djuice' and the regatta will enter Auckland, New Zealand in early January 2002. The regatta will be harboured in Auckland during most of January until departure for the Pacific leg to Rio, Brazil, on January 27, 2002.
