djuice and Nokia co-operate in development of mobile Internet solutions

Telenors mobile Internet portal, djuice™, and Nokia have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) stipulating their co-operation on future mobile Internet platform solutions. The two companies will draw on each others expertise to secure the best and most user friendly mobile Internet services and solutions for the future. The agreement will include the establishment of a joint service creation center in djuices premises in Oslo.
In the last year, djuice™ has developed one of the worlds most advanced mobile Internet portals, ranked as no. 1 in a report by Forrester, in November 2000, comparing the 50 most important portals in Europe. This competence and experience will now be linked to Nokias leading mobile Internet expertise and brand knowledge. Both companies consider the co-operation as a major step forward in the effort to build innovative services for mobile Internet to the benefit of the consumers.

The co-operation has a global reach. The Nokia mPlatform, with it's evolving path to new technologies ,such as 3G, as well as new mobile Internet solutions merging from the joint development efforts, will be implemented in all djuice™ operations worldwide. Djuice will through this co-operation play an important role in the further development of Nokia mPlatform

At present, djuice™ has been launched in Norway, Thailand and Malaysia and will be launched in Portugal later this year. New markets will follow in 2001 and 2002 as the roll-out continues.
