By merging Telenor Digital AS (TD) and Telenor Global Services AS (TGS), Telenor establishes a global unit that combines traditional core telco with software capabilities. The new unit, named Telenor Linx, aims to elevate Telenor’s ability to take new positions in connectivity and beyond.

Telenor Linx will leverage Telenor’s global connectivity platform to drive new growth in core and open additional revenues beyond connectivity in adjacent businesses – predominantly with digital players. With a common global platform, Telenor Linx delivers attractive services such as international voice, user authentication, data roaming, direct carrier billing, and Millom.

“Telenor Linx connects telcos to telcos and telcos to digital players worldwide. The unit’s name is a play on the word link, and the X indicates Telenor’s focus on exploring future products and services in the years to come,” says Stig Atle Waagbø, CEO of Telenor Linx.

With Telenor Linx, Telenor takes its own success story out into the world. Its mission is to enable people, telcos, and digital players to fully embrace the opportunities global connectivity provides.

“With global connectivity as our backbone and platforms for innovating and building new products and services on top, Telenor Linx is well positioned to explore new arenas and venues for growth,” says Waagbø.

The company has an estimated yearly revenue of approx. NOK 2 billion and engages 200 people across the world with offices in Norway (HQ), Sweden, Poland, Dubai, Pakistan, Thailand, and Singapore.
