About the role

The role as Specialist Marketing and Digital Services reports to the Category Manager - Marketing and Digital Services and will be part of the team which is responsible for the spend base, vendors and partners within the Marketing services area, as well as the interactions with the stakeholders within Telenor Group and Telenor’s local Business Units in Asia and Europe.

Main tasks

  • Contribute to the Category strategy for the Marketing and Digital services area
  • Perform market and industry analysis to support category strategy
  • Contribute in developing and execute on negotiation strategies towards the vendor market
  • Contribute on the savings KPI’s as defined for the Marketing and Digital Services category
  • Collaborate with user departments to reduce the sourcing process cycle time, improve planning, and
  • ensure compliance with policies in order to achieve targets.
    • Prepare periodic reports on sourcing activities for the category. 
    • Maintain an awareness of latest procurement methodology theories
    • Support development and implementation of category negotiation and sourcing strategy



To be successful in this role it is believed that you should be a professional eager to develop yourself within strategic sourcing. You should have an academic understanding of strategic sourcing and marketing services and customer care. 

The ideal candidate should have knowledge and previous experience in Nordic and South East Asia telecommunication market.

  • Strong business knowledge in telecommunications landscape

  • Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement methodologies and concepts in the media and advertising industry
  • Knowledge of sourcing techniques and demand management
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing techniques
  • Strong analytical & systems thinking capabilities
  • Knowledge and experience in stakeholders and agency relationship management
  • Highly creative and innovative problem-solving mindset
  • International project and process management knowledge and experience is an added advantage
  • Strong ability to communicate and interact effectively (verbal, presentation, facilitation & listening modes of communication)  across organizational and cultural boundaries, internal and external 
  • Action oriented and solution minded team player with high degree of self-management, able to work with a high degree of execution power and passion
  • Broad experience with common data processing tools, e.g. Excel or Tableau
  • Result oriented, demonstrating excellent collaboration abilities
  • Demonstrate commitment, maturity, flexibility and speed in response to business and challenges
  • Commercial and negotiation skills 

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

  • University degree, preferably within business administration, marketing, economics, finance procurement
  • At least 2-5 years of experience within media procurement or within the advertising industry
  • Application of procurement best practices and supplier negotiation at executive level will be an added advantage
  • Experience from industry platforms, such as MRM platforms, DBM, GA360, Adobe, Sitecore, Adform, Adwords is a plus
  • Experience with SEO and/or ASO and SEM is a plus
