We are now looking for two Mobile Core Operations Engineers to join our Mobile Core team.
About the team
Mobile communications have entered the fifth generation, and the demand for fast, reliable, and secure mobile services continues to grow across society. We already serve millions of users who depend on our network every day—and with the evolution of true 5G, mobile connectivity will become even more critical.
At the heart of this transformation is the Mobile Core: the central component where most services are created, managed, and delivered. The pace of innovation in this area is rapid—traditional network “boxes” have evolved into cloud-native, data center-based solutions.
Our Mobile Core team is responsible for both development and 24/7 operations across the entire domain. This includes architecture and design, fault and change management, performance monitoring, testing, automation, troubleshooting, and more. We work in agile teams, adapting in size depending on the task, and always strive to match the right expertise to the right challenge.
About the role
As a member of the Mobile Core team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our network remains robust, scalable, and always available. Your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the design and implementation of new Mobile Core features and services
- Monitoring and analyzing network performance to proactively identify and resolve issues
- Managing incidents and troubleshooting faults in a mission-critical, 24/7 environment
- Driving automation and continuous improvement across operations and workflows
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery
- Contributing to testing, validation, and deployment of new releases and upgrades

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting and is passionate about mobile technology. You are familiar with some of the following areas, either from studies or from work life. Expertise in all of them is not expected:
Technologies & Infrastructure
- Operating systems (Linux)
- Containers, microservices and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
- IP Networking (DNS/Firewall/Routing), Open vSwitch, NGINX, Container Networking interfaces
- Hyperconverged Storage Solutions (Ceph/Rook)
- Mobile Networks (3GPP knowledge)
Automation
- Configuration Management (Git, Helm, YAML)
- Software supply chain CI/CD (Jenkins)
- Logging (Fluentd)
- Fault Management (Alert Manager)
- Scripting and Programming (Bash, Python)
- Metrics Collection and visualization (Grafana, Prometheus, Victoria Metrics)
- Continuous testing tools / Test automation
- DevSecOps practices
Experience from Ericsson cloud native systems is a bonus.
