150 million subscriptions

The total number of subscriptions in Telenor's mobile operations has now passed 150 million. This was announced at Telenor's Capital Markets Day on Thursday.

"We are happy to reach this new milestone, only a year and a half after we announced 100 million subscriptions. Since then, Telenor has experienced strong customer growth, especially in Pakistan and Bangladesh. As the world's seventh largest mobile operator, we are well-positioned for future growth, both in subscriptions and in mobile use among existing customers," said Telenor President and CEO, Jon Fredrik Baksaas.

The 150 million subscriptions figure is based on all subscriptions from both consolidated and associated companies.
