Fornebu, 25 February 2026 – The US based start-up Telgea makes it easier for companies to manage mobile subscriptions for employees across borders. Telenor Amp is now investing USD 3 million in the company, which is raising a total of USD 5 million in its latest funding round.

“Telgea addresses one of the most time-consuming and costly challenges for international companies. They automate processes that today require manual handling by both operators and customers. This makes them a clear challenger in a market that has seen little change for a long time,” says Dan Ouchterlony, Head of Telenor Amp.

International companies spend significant resources on different local subscriptions, roaming costs and internal administration. Telgea consolidates everything in a single global platform built on its own mobile core, eSIM technology and extensive AI automation. The solution gives businesses full visibility and a single contract, with local connectivity in 10 countries and roaming coverage in 192 countries

“Telgea is the world’s first AI driven, autonomous mobile operator. Having Telenor as a shareholder gives us a strong industrial partner with international reach, which is crucial for scaling further,” says Andreas Åfeldt Franke, founder and CEO of Telgea.

The company launched in 2025 and already has 60 enterprise customers across several markets. In addition to Telenor Amp, Node, Antler VC and Runway are also participating in the round, contributing the remaining USD 2 million in financing.

High costs – high potential

According to Telgea, global companies spend between $840–1,200 USD per employee per year on mobile-related costs, including devices, subscriptions, roaming and internal administration. For a company with 10,000 employees, this can exceed 7.7 million per annually.

“Companies are looking for a simpler way to manage mobile usage for employees across different countries. Together with Telenor, we can offer a modern, automated solution that reduces costs and provides predictability,” Franke says.

“The investment gives us access to expertise and technology that can strengthen our offering to international customers. Telgea has developed a solution that is at the forefront of the industry, and the market potential is significant,” Ouchterlony says.

Telgea was founded by serial entrepreneurs Andreas Åfeldt Franke and Theis Jensen. Franke has previously scaled companies such as Tipser and Innometrics internationally, while Jensen built the MedTech company Sani Nudge across 16 countries before it was sold in 2023.
