Telenor IR policy
Telenor shall seek to be compliant with the Oslo Børs’ code of practice for IR, although there may be details within it from which our policy may differ.
Telenor has, as an integral part of its Financial Markets Procedure, the following investor relations policy that is made public on Telenor’s website:
Telenor’s financial markets communication shall provide the financial markets with strategic, transparent, accurate and consistent information in a timely manner, which contributes to a fair valuation of the Telenor share.
Our aim is to maintain an open dialogue with the financial markets. We place great emphasis on ensuring that relevant and timely information is distributed to the market and that all stakeholders are treated equally.
Reporting of financial information follows the framework set out by the Norwegian Securities Trading Act, relevant EU regulations and Euronext Oslo Børs’ rules for listed companies.
All presentations regarding quarterly results, capital markets days or investor seminars are held in English. All Telenor investor events are open and made available through web cast or conference calls. Presentations are made available on our web page.
On the equity side, investor and analyst contact with Telenor is to be channelled through and coordinated by the IR team, and outreach to other parts of the organisation with questions of strategic and financial nature is considered non-protocol. The team participates in all investor and analyst meetings and is responsible for the day-to-day communication with the financial market.
Our silent periods start on the first day of each new quarter and last until publication of our quarterly financial results. During silent periods ahead of financial results, meetings/calls with investors, analysts or other capital market participants are generally not arranged and performance-related topics are not to be discussed. Prior to each silent period, as a service to the sell-side analyst community, Telenor’s IR team will publish the main publicly known items related to frequently asked questions going into the quarter, and will host a common pre-quarter call with sell- side analysts followed by optional Q&A calls for clarification purposes.
