We are looking for a new colleague who will bring expertise, passion and commitment toward reaching these targets, including other climate and environment related targets.
In your role, you will be based in Fornebu, Norway and be a part of our Public Affairs and Sustainability team at Telenor Group. This position offers an opportunity to work with colleagues across all Telenor markets. You will be Director Climate and Environment, part of the Group Climate and Environment team and will support the Vice President Climate and Environment and other colleagues in a broad portfolio of projects and workstreams.
Some of the main responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance and support on Telenor GHG emissions reporting and other environmental reporting, including being lead on CDP reporting.
- Cooperate with colleagues in the Group Climate and Environment team and other functions on progressing toward our climate and environment goals.
- Assist in projects to phase in renewable energy across our Business Units.
- Support Business Units with a wide variety of work on the topics of climate and environment.
- Take initiative and lead work streams within topics such as climate, environmental enablement, circular economy and nature.
As our Director Climate and Environment, we are looking for a professional:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree (or equivalent) in Sustainability, Engineering, Business or similar.
- At least 4 years of experience working with corporate climate and environment topics.
- Competence on relevant GHG reporting standards, such as the GHG Protocol and CSRD/ESRS.
- Strong understanding of relevant topics, such as sustainability reporting, climate science, international environmental policy development, sustainability risk assessment, renewable energy, circular economy and nature (biodiversity and ecosystems).
- Experience with CDP reporting is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, competent in collecting, compiling and analyzing data.
- Excellent English skills, both oral and written.
