Category Manager – IS/IT Procurement

This is what you will be part of

You join Telenor’s Nordic Procurement organisation and work with the IS/IT category, covering hardware, software, IT services and digital infrastructure across our Nordic business units. In this role, you contribute to sourcing strategies and commercial models that support Telenor’s IT transformation and long‑term business needs.
Your work has clear impact: you help ensure sustainable, compliant and value‑creating supplier relationships that support stable operations and future development across the Nordics.

You collaborate closely with stakeholders across countries, functions and cultures, working at the intersection of technology, business and procurement. We share knowledge, involve each other early and aim to understand business needs before shaping solutions together.
You will be part of a supportive and skilled Nordic team that values trust, curiosity and continuous improvement, and that works closely with international partners, including Telenor Procurement Company in Singapore.

What we are looking for

We believe you will enjoy and succeed in this role if you recognise yourself in several of the following areas:

• Experience with strategic sourcing within IT, such as software, hardware or IT services

• Ability to manage sourcing initiatives from strategy to execution, including negotiations and contracts

• Confidence in working with stakeholders across functions and seniority levels

• Understanding of the balance between commercial value, compliance and risk

• Interest in developing long‑term supplier relationships and Nordic sourcing solutions

You do not need to meet every point – motivation, curiosity and a willingness to learn are what matter most.

• Work location: Telenor Norway, Fornebu (Oslo)

• Language: English is the working language. The ability to understand and express yourself in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language is important when working with local stakeholders.
