You will play a central role in bringing AI into our Network
You will be part of the Tech AI Center of Excellence team, which is anchored in Telenor’s technical division. Here, we work across our telco network and IT to transform insights from network data into more intelligent processes, better decision‑making, and improved customer experiences by supporting the delivery of an excellent telco network.
As an AI Data Scientists, you will work on some of the most important AI initiatives in our telco network, where you will help transform network data, technical needs, and business challenges into models and solutions that make our processes more intelligent. This means designing the data foundation, building applications into the system, and ensuring they operate reliably and creating impact and actions when used across the organization. The role requires ongoing dialogue and close collaboration with both technical colleagues and the governance teams to ensure responsible AI principles.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Designing, developing and maintaining data models, data pipelines and ML/AI models focusing on our telco network
Development of our knowledge graph and LLM setup to enable our organization to leverage AI directly in their processes
Working closely with relevant governance teams to ensure responsible AI principles are followed by our AI systems
Participating in cross‑Nordic collaborations with Telenor Research & Innovation in Norway on selected AI projects and methodologies
You possess deep data knowledge and are curious about defining our AI workflows
As you will be an important part of the initiatives advancing our AI journey forward, we are looking for someone with a solid understanding of data, machine learning, AI and modern development environments. You thrive when building models that are actually used, and you take a practical approach to making AI solutions work in daily operations.
We imagine that you are responsible for your tasks, work purposefully, and approach new tools, methods, and datasets with curiosity. You also enjoy collaborating broadly across the organization and draw on your professional judgment when explaining models and technical concepts in clear, accessible terms. Lastly, we imagine that you have a relevant educational background within data, telecommunications, IT, or economics.
If you recognize yourself in the following, you are the person we are looking for:
SQL knowledge and experience with ML, deep-learning, AI relevant Python libraries are required
Designing and maintaining data, ML/AI pipelines, inference endpoints and experience with OpenShift AI
Big Data technologies, like Spark, Hadoop, BigQuery, ClickHouse
Understanding LLM, RAG, MCP and fine-tuning concepts
Stakeholder and communication skills to explain technical knowledge to stakeholders with different backgrounds
