Om stillingen

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Privacy Manager to join our People Governance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in privacy management and a passion for ensuring compliance with privacy regulations, while demonstrating the ability to navigate a large and complex organization, to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and to work independently.

As part of the HR team under People Governance, the Privacy Manager will be placed close to where People-related decisions are made and will work with complex and meaningful issues across People processes, technology, and operations.

The role interacts with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization and operates with a high degree of independence. This combination of autonomy, visibility, and cross-functional engagement makes the position rewarding, offering the opportunity to apply and further develop deep subject-matter expertise while contributing to privacy compliance in a large, complex and dynamic organization.

By joining our team, you will:

  • Secure that privacy requirements are properly assessed and managed for all tools and processes owned by PSER (People, Sustainability and External relations), including People Governance.

  • Support Telenor ASA Privacy Officer as PSER Privacy Coordinator.

  • Define requirements and governance structure for information management in People Governance and within PSER.

  • Coordinate work related to fulfilling privacy requirements for all People and PSER owned systems and processes, e.g., implement common repository, complete assessments, and establish processes to secure necessary revisions and updates.

  • Inform and advise the PSER organization on privacy and information management risk, internal requirements, internationally recognized standards, and recommended practices in close collaboration with ASA Privacy Officer.

  • Develop and conduct training and awareness activities on privacy and information management in People Governance and the wider PSER unit.

  • Liaise with and involve relevant lawyers in Group Legal regarding legal assessments to be performed.

Who we are looking for:

To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe that you have a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, whilst at the same time working independently as an expert. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with solid business understanding to support our stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Advances degree in law, information security, or a related field

  • Relevant certificates such as CIPP/E (Certified Information Privacy Professional, Europe) and CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager) can compensate for lack of formal education

  • 3+ years of experience in privacy management or a related role

  • In-depth knowledge of privacy laws and regulations, specifically EU law (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act (personopplysningsloven)

  • Excellent English written communication skills. Norwegian language skills is an advantage.
