In 2007 Telenor commissioned Deloitte to carry out a study of our markets in Bangladesh, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, Serbia and Ukraine. This study revealed a close correlation between mobile penetration and GDP growth as well as a range of positive impacts in other areas, such as health and education and improving conditions in rural areas.
