Changes to Telenor Group’s Executive Management
(Fornebu, 4 September 2018) Berit Svendsen is stepping down from her position as CEO of Telenor Norway and head of the Scandinavia Cluster. The Board of Directors of Telenor Norway has appointed Petter Furberg as the new CEO. Kaaren Hilsen is announced as the new CEO in Telenor Sweden. Morten Karlsen Sørby is appointed acting Cluster Head of Scandinavia after Svendsen.
Telenor Group and UNICEF scale mobile birth registration pilot to Myanmar

In the second quarter we saw robust operations in Scandinavia, particularly in the mobile market in Norway. In Malaysia, we achieved revenue growth for a second consecutive quarter as a result of our determined repositioning efforts. In Pakistan and Bangladesh, we grew the subscriber base and strengthened our positions in rapidly developing markets. Telenor added two million mobile subscriptions in the quarter, and now connects 172 million customers.
