4G from Telenor in over 100 municipalities in Norway

Tryg chose Telenor
The insurance company Tryg has chosen Telenor as its supplier for a new contact centre solution and telephony platform. The contract is worth almost NOK 80 million over a period of five years.
Best on coverage with new frequencies
Telenor Norway has today been allocated new 3G and 4G frequencies. By purchasing new frequencies Telenor will be able to offer even better 4G coverage to Norwegian customers as soon as early 2014.

WeWantToKnow awarded as Telenor’s Digital Winner 2013

The French-Norwegian start-up aims to deliver the next generation of learning games, and was awarded the prize in competition with a record number of 95 applicants from Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
Myanmar given free access to the world’s knowledge with Wikipedia Zero
Telenor Group and the Wikimedia Foundation, which operates Wikipedia, today announced Myanmar as the latest country to be included in their existing agreement to bring Wikipedia Zero to Telenor customers in Asia and Europe.
Third quarter 2013: Growing profitability
In the third quarter of 2013, Telenor Group reported revenues of NOK 26.0 billion, representing an organic revenue growth of 1%. EBITDA before other items was NOK 9.6 billion, EBITDA margin was 37%, and operating cash flow was NOK 5.9 billion. Reported net income of NOK 3.9 billion includes currency losses of NOK 502 million, mainly non-cash.
Presentation of Telenor’s third quarter results 2013
Telenor will present its financial results for the third quarter on Thursday 31 October at 09:00 hrs Norwegian time/CET. The presentation, which will also be broadcast live over the Internet, will be held in Auditorium Voice, Telenor Expo Visitor Centre at Fornebu near Oslo. The figures will be published on Telenor’s website at 07:00 CET.
