Khanty-Mansiysk ruling Against Telenor cancelled by Omsk Court
The Eighth Arbitrazh Appellate Court in Omsk in Siberia has today cancelled the USD 2.8 billion judgment issued against Telenor last August in Khanty-Mansiysk. The Omsk court said it will reconsider the case from the beginning on 19 February at 10 am.

The Eighth Arbitrazh Appellate Court in Omsk in Siberia said it would resume at 2 PM on 25 December the hearing of Telenor’s appeal of the USD 2.8 billion judgment issued against the Norwegian company last August in Khanty-Mansiysk.
Status for Telenor’s work on health, safety, security and environment (HSSE)
In May 2008, Telenor launched an extensive project to assess the health, safety, security and environmental conditions (HSSE) in our companies and suppliers. Several hundred inspections have been conducted and powerful measures have been implemented. The HSSE work will continue in 2009 and Telenor has simultaneously initiated a large meeting on corporate responsibility with major Norwegian international corporations.

VRT selects Norkring as network operator partner
The Flemish Radio and Television Network (VRT) today announced that Norkring, a subsidiary of Telenor and Norway’s leading provider of terrestrial broadcasting services, has been selected as private sector partner for VRT’s transmitter network. The new network operator will be owned by the VRT (51 %) and Norkring (49 %).

After two successful Extraordinary General Meetings of Shareholders (EGMS) of Kyivstar on Tuesday, Kyivstar’s charter has been amended and a new board elected. Accounts and budgets have been properly approved, as well as dividends for the fiscal years 2004 and 2005.
Kyivstar shareholders meet in Kiev to establish basis for restoring corporate governance
For the first time since 2005, a meeting of shareholders of Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar has been held. The meeting amended the company’s charter and elected a new Board of Directors.
Telenor Serbia Wins Virtus Award
In December 2008 Telenor Serbia received the Virtus Award, presented annually for corporate philanthropy, at a ceremony in the National Assembly. The award is given for special contribution at the national level in the area of corporate responsibility.
Telenor to provide telecommunication services to all regional health authorities in Norway
The four regional health authorities in Norway and Telenor have entered into agreements for the provision of fixed and mobile telephone services. In total, the agreements are worth approximately NOK 120 million annually. Procurement Services for Health Enterprises (PSHE) has carried out the procurement on behalf of the four regions.
