In the second quarter we saw robust operations in Scandinavia, particularly in the mobile market in Norway. In Malaysia, we achieved revenue growth for a second consecutive quarter as a result of our determined repositioning efforts. In Pakistan and Bangladesh, we grew the subscriber base and strengthened our positions in rapidly developing markets. Telenor added two million mobile subscriptions in the quarter, and now connects 172 million customers.

Telenor agrees to sell its Central and Eastern European assets to PPF Group for EUR 2.8bn
(Fornebu, Norway – 21 March 2018) Telenor has entered into an agreement to sell its assets in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) to PPF Group for EUR 2.8 billion (around NOK 27 bn) on an enterprise value basis. The Board of Directors of Telenor intends to ask the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for authorisation to distribute a special dividend of NOK 4.40 per share.
