In the upcoming period, Telenor will cover areas of Niš and Novi Sad and continue with Belgrade coverage expansion. Roll-out of 4G will be delivered in phases, first in urban and later in rural areas, depending on the customers’ needs.

“4G launch is the next step in a process of delivering a world class network for our customers and Telenor is fully committed to it. We did first testing of 4G in Serbia already in 2011, with the goal of providing customers with a reliable internet connection, faster downloading, browsing, streaming and page loading. Our strategy is to continue to provide the best network experience for our customers and 4G network is an important element of it,” says Ove Fredheim, CEO of Telenor Serbia.

Telenor already offers devices that support 4G. If the customers already have 4G devices (phones, tablets and MiFis) purchased from Telenor, they do not need to buy new ones, but  only swap the SIM card for 4G capable SIM card (uSIM cards) in the nearest Telenor shop. A SIM card swap will be free of charge and is a necessary step for customers to experience 4G, in addition to being in an area with 4G coverage.

Telenor’s 4G network delivers up to six times faster internet, faster downloading, browsing and streaming versus 3G, as well as a more reliable internet connection. Customers will save time while using advanced services and enjoy a better mobile internet user experience.
