Telenor reports first quarter 2017 results

Bharti Airtel to take ownership of Telenor’s operations in India
Telenor ASA has on 23 February 2017 entered into a definitive agreement with Bharti Airtel Limited (Airtel), whereby Airtel will take full ownership of Telenor India.

The presentations focus on Telenor’s strategic direction towards 2020, including the company’s financial priorities and ambitions. A key message of the day is that Telenor will prioritize cash flow generation, through efficiency improvements and strict prioritization of resources.
Telenor reports fourth-quarter results
“In 2016, Telenor continued to grow revenues and delivered a record high EBITDA. We made significant progress on network deployment during the year, supporting our customers’ increasing data usage. Based on the 2016 results, we are proposing a dividend of NOK 7.80 per share, which represents an increase of four per cent compared to last year.
