Jørgen C. Arentz Rostrup

Jørgen Rostrup, born 1966, has more than 20 years of international business experience. Prior to his role as EVP and Head of Telenor Nordics (from 1 October 2023), he served as EVP and Head of Telenor Asia. Before that he held the role of CFO of Telenor Group since November 2016. Rostrup was President of Yara North America, Inc before joining Telenor.

Rostrup has lived and worked on four continents. He has held a broad range of management positions in some of Norway’s leading companies, including Country Manager for Yara Ghana Ltd., CFO of Norsk Hydro Group, President of Hydro USA Inc, Executive Vice President Energy in Hydro and CFO for Hydro’s oil and gas activities in Norway.

Rostrup is also currently Chair of the Board of Directors of DNA Oyj in Finland, Telenor Norway, Telenor Sweden and Telenor Denmark, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Telenor Procurement Company in Singapore. He was previously Board Chair of Grameenphone Ltd. in Bangladesh and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Total Access Communication PCL (dtac) and True Corporation in Thailand, as well as CelcomDigi Berhad in Malaysia. Rostrup also has board experience in private equity and investment banking.
