New Business
The ICT industry is a dynamic industry with a high level
of innovation. R&I is a key element in Telenor's innovation activities and
in developing new growth areas. R&I identifies, establishes and develops
new business which contributes to Telenor's long term development and growth.
These new business opportunities can both be sustaining innovation in terms
of extending or supporting traditional business, and disruptive innovation
R&I will develop business opportunities by setting up incubation projects,
working through industrial partnerships, and by pursuing investments in start-ups.
R&I is looking for opportunities that can potentially generate significant
revenues in the long term for Telenor, and both invests in external start-ups
and creates internal start-ups through incubation of new business idea.
