DTAC is one of the largest mobile operators in Thailand – with an estimated market share of 31% at year-end 2006.

Network and services

DTAC, which currently has a GSM 1800 and an AMPS 800 licence, offers mobile voice, roaming and value-added services to its customers through contract and prepaid tariff plans. DTAC's non-voice services include mobile Internet services based on WAP, GPRS and EDGE. No 3G licenses have been awarded in Thailand. DTAC was awarded an international gateway type three license in February 2007.

During 2006, DTAC continued to focus on customer service, adopting an innovative and segmented approach to ensure that the needs of individual customers in both the consumer and corporate segments are met. Distribution has been a key element of DTAC's strategy.

Outlets

Key channels of distribution include DTAC shops, independent dealerships and non-telecom outlets.
