HSE audits

Telenor OHS carries out HSE[!] audits in Telenors business areas. The audits compare the HSE results in the companies' units and departments with the aims and requirements which Telenor has for its business activities. Through the comprehensive auditing activities, which in part are also carried out in co-operation with the quality assurance departments in some of the subsidiaries, effective feedback is obtained regarding the development of the Telenor's working environment from year to year.

132 HSE audits were carried out under the direction of TOHS in 2000. A summary of deviations and comments from the audits is presented in the table below. In addition, audits of the companies' QA systems (for example ISO systems) have also considered elements in the field of HSE.

It is the responsibility of the departments to follow up any comments and deviations which may be revealed during the HSE audits. Measures for correcting deviations and comments are dealt with during the unit's planning meeting and shall be documented so that shortcomings are continually followed up and the systematic HSE work is improved.
