Social Dialogue Committee for Telecommunications Companies in Europe
In connection with the supranational co-operation in Europe between employers and employees – the social partners – Telenor is represented in the Social Dialogue Committee for Telecommunications Companies by the director of the HSE[!] Central Staff. This committee has set up three work groups (Telework, Skill and Health & Safety) under a single steering committee. Telenor is represented in two of these groups. One of the principal tasks has been to prepare a European Charter for Health & Safety Management Principles applying to general HMS systematics. This document is based on the systematics work carried out by the Telenor Group in recent years.
European Telecommunications Network Organisation (ETNO)
Telenor has representatives in several national and international groups and committees in the fields of occupational medicine and medical technology. ETNO is a major organisation of 44 large telecommunications companies, based in Brussels. Telenor is represented in ETNO's general assembly and in various work groups, amongst them the work group for Employment, Health and Safety. Moreover, Telenor is represented in an ETNO group working on guidelines for Telework.
