An iconic brand
(May 2007) Telenor launched its new brand and visual identity in February 2006. Ten operations in eight countries have now adopted the common look and feel.
Future success is about responding to the changes we see and anticipate. Telenor’s rebranding has had one focus – moving our organisation forward in order to meet emerging customer needs.
Renewed vision and values
At the heart of our new brand are our renewed vision and values. This was our first move towards building a common approach to help us work better as a group. During 2006, the vision and values were established as the key criteria for the priorities we are setting in our daily business – and we are beginning to see successes.
The rebranding is also an important signal to all our external stakeholders with respect to our future direction. We are making it clear to everyone that we are more than just individual companies operating in different markets.
A part of local communities
We want to be a part of local communities wherever we operate and we never impose one formula worldwide.
We continue to build a unique group of companies that are combining group excellence with an uncompromising focus on local drive and responsiveness. Our focus on local strategy will never be replaced by global processes; we would lose our competitive difference if we did. While we work to leverage to the full what is common between our markets we will also combine this with the local edge at which our companies already excel.
Good relationships across our companies, across levels and countries is our most powerful weapon to reduce time to market, to translate customer needs into better products and services faster than our competitors.
Staying ahead
Our brand is all about how Telenor will stay ahead, and continue to challenge the logic and established approach in our own businesses and in the telecoms industry.
As we go forward, we will maintain our focus on growing a company that attracts and retains the best people, and which gives them every opportunity to utilise their energy and talents.
