Jørgen Lydersen graduated as Telecom Engineer in 1981. He joined the planning department of Telenor, Oslo Region in 1981 and spent 15 years working on analysis and planning of data, transmission and access networks. For almost 10 years he was Chief Planning Manager for transmission and introduced SDH in the transport network. From 1997 to 1999 he worked in Telenor Consult doing business and network planning for mobile and fixed networks in Europe (Russia, Austria, Poland etc) and East Africa (Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania). Since 1999 he has been working in the strategic group in the Technology department of Telenor Norway as Senior Strategy Advisor, mostly dealing with broadband development and triple play issues for the fixed access network.
