Telenor is searching for the most innovative digital business product or service to honour with its annual Digital Winners Prize. This is the second year that Telenor has given this award. The ceremony to honour the winner will be held during the Digital Winners Conference 2012 on November 14. Telenor is now accepting nominees, with a deadline of October 15.
The prize winner(s) will be awarded with 200,000 NOK. The winning product or service will be developed in cooperation with Telenor Comoyo, with the potential for distribution through Telenor consumer operations. The prize will be handed out by Rolv-Erik Spilling, Deputy Head Telenor Digital Services and Chairman of the Digital Winner prize committee. Last year’s winner was Toca Boca, a Swedish company that makes digital toys for kids.
Innovation is key
“User-friendliness and simplicity are key elements in making products and services a success, and without innovative and creative ideas, it’s difficult to make progress in the digital future we are in the midst of. Telenor wishes to inspire and acknowledge these business products with a Nordic prize, and I hope for many participants in the nomination process,” says SVP Rolv-Erik Spilling.
The Jury 2012
The eight member jury consists of prominent experts in markets, digital services, research and innovation, five of whom come from companies outside of Telenor Group. Headed by Rolv-Erik Spilling, Deputy Head in Telenor Digital Services, the jury includes, Marie Nilsson, CEO Mediavison, Rikard Steiber, Global Marketing Director Mobile & Social, Google, San Francisco, Erling Maartman-Moe, Partner Alliance Venture, Morten Munk-Hansen, Digital Director Maxus Gobal, Georgi Ganev, CEO at Dustin Group, Sven Størmer Thaulow, CEO Telenor Comoyo AS and Dagfinn Myhre, VP, Research and Future Studies, Telenor Group.
Telenor values are basis for the prize.
The decision for who will take home the award will be based on Telenor’s own vision and values. The winner (s) should be able to inspire consumers to take part in our shared digital reality and to demonstrate a user friendly service.
- The product/service must potentially be able to cover several communication platforms
- The product/service must have been launched or tested in the market
- The product/service must inspire further innovation across the digital consumer market
- The product/service must stimulate content providers to use digital channels in new, innovative ways and the product/service must contribute to balance the ecosystem of content, communication
Digital Winner seminar 2012
