Telenor Broadcast today announced that it has acquired the TV-rights for SAS-ligaen, the Danish top football league. The matches will be broadcasted on the TV-channels DR and dk4.

New mobile survey from Telenor
Norwegian children are teachers: more than 20 per cent teach their parents how to use a mobile phone. This is one of several findings in a new mobile survey from Telenor. The survey shows that children receive mobile phones earlier, and before parents think it is ok. The division is clearest for 10 year olds: almost all 10 year olds have a mobile phone.

Once again, Telenor reduces prices for using your mobile abroad
It's becoming steadily cheaper for Norwegians to use their mobile phone when travelling in Europe. This year, Telenor has reduced prices for voice traffic on private subscriptions by up to 50 per cent, and the reductions mean total savings for customers of around NOK 170 million.

Telenor Obtains Unaudited Kyivstar Financial Results
Telenor has now obtained unaudited Kyivstar financial results for the first three quarters of 2007. In response to the termination of an injunction by a Ukrainian court on 23 November, Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar has begun to provide Telenor with unaudited financial information.

Telenor has established Norwegian operation
Telenor is restructuring its Norwegian operation. A Norwegian unit, Telenor Norway, is established as part of Telenor Nordic. This new unit is headed by Ragnar Kårhus, who today is the assisting head of the Nordic operations. The restructuring also brings about some changes in the top management of the Norwegian operation.

Third quarter 2007: Continued high underlying growth
In the third quarter of 2007, Telenor's underlying pro forma revenues increased by 12 per cent compared to the third quarter of 2006, reaching NOK 26.5 billion. Pro forma EBITDA before other income and expenses was NOK 9.4 billion. The pro forma figures include estimates for Kyivstar. Telenor's consolidated mobile operations added four million subscriptions during the third quarter.

Telenor launches WiMAX – wireless broadband in districts

Grameenphone crosses 15 million subscriber mark
Grameenphone Ltd., the largest cellular operator in Bangladesh, where Telenor has a 62 per cent owner share, has crossed the 15 million mobile phone subscriber mark. This equals an increase of 50 percent from the 10 million customers the company noted in November last year.

Telenor yesterday won a New York arbitration proceeding against Alfa Group subsidiary Storm LLC in connection with Storm's violations of the Shareholders Agreement relating to the parties' joint investment in Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar G.S.M. Among other things, the arbitration tribunal has ordered Alfa to sell its Kyivstar shares within 120 days to an unaffiliated entity or divest itself of its holdings in competing Ukrainian wireless operators Turkcell and Ukrainian High Technologies above 5 per cent.

In the second quarter of 2007, Telenor's pro forma revenues increased by 19 per cent compared to the second quarter of 2006, reaching NOK 26.2 billion. Compared to the previous year, Telenor's revenues increased by 37 per cent in 2006, to NOK 91.1 billion. Profit after taxes and minority interests more than doubled compared to 2005, reaching NOK 15.9 billion. In the fourth quarter of 2006, revenues increased by 30.0 per cent compared to the same period last year, reaching NOK 24.5 billion. The EBITDA margin in the fourth quarter of 2006 was 33.4 per cent, compared to 34.9 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2005.

Warner Music Group (NYSE: WMG) and one of the world's leading mobile operators, Telenor, today announced a global strategic partnership. Geneva Arbitration Tribunal Says Alfa Cannot Nominate More Than Four Candidates to VimpelCom Board
A Geneva arbitration tribunal has ruled that Alfa cannot nominate more than four candidates for election to the VimpelCom Board. The tribunal has upheld the validity of the VimpelCom Shareholders Agreement, which Alfa violated in 2005 and 2006 by nominating more candidates for election to the VimpelCom Board than it was entitled to. The arbitration tribunal also upheld Telenor's right under the Agreement to nominate five candidates for election the VimpelCom Board.
