The Norwegian division of the Telenor-owned Internet company Nextra is gaining new management. Young talent has been recruited to form Norway's foremost Internet-based communications provider geared toward the business market.
Sveinung Hole (new managing director), Rolv Erik Spilling (new director for product and business development) and Diego MacKee (new marketing director), will join Dag Mjelde (technical director) and Kirsten Dalholt (finance director) to form Nextra Norway’s new management team.
“Nextra is a young company with excellent potential. We have sought leaders with similar profiles, who have already shown tremendous competence and have an ingrained entrepreneurial spirit,” says Nextra Group Director Morten Lundal, who is responsible for the entire Nextra Group and Telenor’s Internet business unit.
Sveinung Hole (32) last served as director of Global Strategies (22 countries) and managing director of Berlitz International Inc. in Northern Europe. Under his leadership, the company became a driving force within the development of new translation services for the American-based company. Among Berlitz’s key customers are Ericsson Mobile Communications and Microsoft. Hole has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialisation in International Corporate Management.
Rolv-Erik Spilling (33) most recently served as director for the Internet division of Alcatel in Norway. Spilling will, with his broad experience both nationally and internationally, contribute greatly to the further development of products and services in Nextra. Spilling is a civil engineer.
Diego MacKee (33) comes from PriceWaterhouseCoopers where he served as a senior e-business and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) consultant. MacKee is a civil telecommunications engineer.
While MacKee has already assumed his new position, Spilling will begin in May and Hole in August. Kristin Dalholt will serve as Managing Director until 1 August 2000.
