The Centre is tailored to serve as an arena where new services and solutions can be conceptualised together with partners and customers, as well as being a showroom where we demonstrate the ways in which we innovate at Telenor.

The Centre also includes the Telenor Visionarium designed to optimize communication with Telenor’s audience, be it is presentations of products and services, live transmission of seminars, launch of new content for TV channels or other kinds of future content which combine the physical and virtual world. A digital 3D cinema and a number of screens will be used to drive home the message conveyed.

Representing the Norwegian State, the single largest owner in Telenor, the Minister joined employees and partners for an inspiring Day of Innovation featuring several key innovation areas ranging from Internet and content based services, mobile financial services as well as services related to M2M (Machine to Machine).

“Innovation is vital in order to secure growth. It has always been important. And it is an integral part of our strategy going forward,” said Jon Fredrik Baksaas, President and CEO of Telenor Group.

“The opening of the Telenor Innovation Centre will further strengthen our continuous efforts to create value for our customers. We do so more and more through open innovation and I believe that this center will become a central place to work on future solutions together with our customers and partners,” said Morten Karlsen Sørby, Executive Vice President and head of Corporate Development.
