Addressing a packed auditorium with representatives from various leading operators, vendors, strategic partners and government officials, Malik told the Uninor story: a story about a company that is innovative in every sense of the word.

“This company has gone through a huge transformation over the last seven months and is delivering growth every month as targeted. The introduction of a clear targeted transformational strategy based on the following three cornerstones – “best in serving basics”, “best in mass market distribution” and “best in low-cost operation” – has enabled a new energy and momentum all across the value chain. This has made Uninor deliver results month over month, meeting and beating the targets,” said Malik, as he explained how Uninor is proving innovative in fighting fierce competition every day.

“The key is to mobilize the whole organisation and to focus relentlessly on impeccable execution. Our focus now is on one thing only: how to beat daily targets and create a sustainable Uninor,” added Malik.

“We do not see innovation being driven by product only. We need to think unconventional and see innovation in a holistic manner which means that innovation needs to be driven from every angle, including people and processes,” he concluded.
