Pannon installs heat pump
Article:
Pannon installs Hungary's most powerful heat pump based on renewable energy at its new headquarters. This is the seventh largest project of its kind in Europe.
As part of its ambitious plans to reduce its environmental impact, Pannon are installing Hungary’s largest heating system based on renewable energy at its new headquarters.

Innovative solutions take shape
The breakthrough heating/cooling system will make use of 180 geothermic heat probes drilled 100 meters deep to provide cold and hot water regulating temperature in the building. This is the seventh largest project of its kind in Europe.
Environmentally friendly business
Construction of the new Pannon headquarters began in the summer of 2007 and is proceeding on schedule. When designing its new premises Pannon was driven by its environmental commitment making it one of Hungary’s most environmentally friendly businesses.
Green space
The building is an integral part of its surrounding environment. It occupies only 7.5 per cent of the 8-hectare plot instead of the statutory allowed 30 per cent. This way, Pannon will leave 69 per cent of the area an open green space instead of the required 40 per cent. The new headquarters is expected to be completed in 2009.
Telenor has a 100 per cent ownership interest in Pannon, the second largest mobile operator in Hungary.
