The SpareBank 1 alliance has entered into a new agreement with Telenor as supplier of the alliance's total requirement for telephony. The agreement is valued at NOK 62 million per year.
Telenor has been providing communications solutions to SpareBank 1 since 2007. The partnership has now been strengthened with a new agreement that runs until the end of 2015.
“We have found that the mobile area has been through a period of dramatic development in recent years, both with our customers and internally. We now have many employees who use smart telephones at work. This means that both data traffic and speech are important to us. We look forward to developing into a more mobile business in partnership with Telenor,” says Vidar Horne, Purchasing Director of the SpareBank 1 group.
The bank alliance is currently using Telenor’s Proffnett communications solution and has also started running a pilot version of the Mobilt Bedriftsnett mobile solution.
“We have had a rather mixed portfolio of subscriptions among our employees. This will now be streamlined by having one common subscription with fixed prices,” says Horne.

The new framework of the agreement opens opportunities for optimisation and new working platforms. “We see exciting development potential for modern, interactive solutions. We intend to meet expectations in terms of both technology and customer service,” says Foss.
