Research partnership to improve the customer experience
Innovations in customer experience are founded in the value of using a service rather than guided by what is technologically possible. Telenor is conducting research to better understand customer needs and behavior together with partners. In 2011, a Centre for Service Innovation (CSI) was established at The Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen, Norway together with research groups and industrial partners in banking and insurance. Increased customer involvement is at the core of this collaboration.
mHealth initiatives in Telenor Group
Mobile phones have proven their power to transform society. Healthcare is one area that is benefiting from the merger with mobile technology, as mobile health is helping the industry tackle old problems with new solutions. Telenor is actively engaged in the development of mHealth services in various markets.
More mobile services to make life easier
Telenor has established the project NFC (Near Field Communication) City together with partners. Our objective is to promote the development and use of mobile services in a number of fields, including information exchange, access to the Internet, ticketing and payment. A complete NFC eco system will be established, containing network infrastructure, trusted service manager (TSM) for secure functionality, and new applications for mobile and NFC services and handsets.
Use your mobile phone in the air and at sea
Mobile communications are now part of everyday life all over the world – even in the air and at sea. Using AeroMobile aircraft passengers and crew can safely use their own mobile phones and PDAs whilst in-flight to keep in touch with colleagues, customers, friends and family. Maritime Communications Partner (MCP) is providing global onboard communications to cruise and ferry vessels.
