Telenor Global GPRS Roaming (GRX)

GPRS Roaming presents an important step from being a traditional voice carrier to a preferred mobile IP carrier for our mobile customers. Our service offers mobile operators a secure and cost efficient IP connection to any mobile operator through a sophisticated One-to-Any architecture.

Global GPRS Roaming provides full global roaming for your GPRS end users and currently our GPRS roaming service provides coverage to close to 400 operators world-wide.

The standard features for the service is 24/7 Customer Support, monitoring and operational services, Root DNS and Security services, WEB Access and Service Level Agreements.

The GRX and the IPX network

By using a fully compliant and dedicated IP network for GRX services, we have been providing all essential mobile services for the proactive operators since September 2000. By providing a fully redundant network, redundancy services may be offered as a add-on or stand-alone service for mobile operators.

The unique GRX-architecture makes it easy to provide world wide coverage for all roaming and interworking IP services. In addition to GPRS roaming service the network has also proved to be advantageous for transportation of new IP services such as MMS Interworking and IMS Interworking.

Telenor Global Services has successfully completed SIP Interworking trials and is throughly prepared for your entry to the next generation.
