Telenor Connexion

New Businesses - connexion

Telenor Connexion is a world-leading provider of machine-to-machine (M2M) communication solutions. M2M refers to machines communicating with each other via wire or mobile networks. This form of automatic data transfer opens up a range of possibilities such as locating or tracking containers, temperature monitoring and automatic meter reading.

Drawing on more than 10 years of M2M experience, Telenor Connexion is constantly exploring new fields in this rapidly growing business. In Europe alone there are several billion devices that could potentially be networked using wireless or fixed technologies. The company was established in 2008 and originates from the successful M2M business within Telenor Sweden.

AeroMobile

New Businesses - AeroMobile

Using AeroMobile, aircraft passengers and crew can safely use their own mobile phones and PDAs whilst in flight to keep in touch with colleagues, customers, friends and family. AeroMobile supports voice telephone, text messaging and data services using current and future aircraft communications technologies. The company is a joint venture between Telenor and ARINC.

The company offers a broad range of digital and interactive concepts that utilise the mobile phone as the key platform. Through Telenor, More Mobile Relations has access to unique competence in mobile technology and mobile consumer behaviour.

Telenor Objects

Other Units - Telenor Objects

As part of the Telenor Group, Telenor Objects delivers a managed service for connected objects. Our aim is to increase the number of devices connected to the network infrastructure so that our partners and customers can benefit from real time information on their assets.

We have over the past three years been running several successful pilots with Norwegian corporate customers, connecting their RFID-readers and sensors to our platform. Information from these devices have been processed and forwarded to third party applications.

TelCage

Established in 2008, TelCage delivers infrastructure and ICT solutions for aquaculture installations and production plants. TelCage enables real time communication of data and information between multiple remote fish farm locations and onshore operations centers - utilizing the same wired or wireless communication infrastructure and application platform for all kind of communication and information exchange; sensor data, messages, voice and video. We aim to provide ICT for the aquaculture industry worldwide.
